Hi,

i got some problems with TrekBuddy service on my P1. I installed the tool (UIQ - signing was not required) and tried to start the service. Unfortunately every start of it makes my phone freeze. The only possibility is to restart the phone. It seems that there was no logfile created which i could post.

Since the previous version cannot be installed anymore because of the expired signature and the 0.9.82 does not work with TARed maps on the P1 without this service, there is no chance for me to open such a map at present.

Thanks for any help.

v0.5.1 works quite well on Nokia E61. Loading of maps and scrolling is way faster than before. Great!

I own Nokia N70 and would like to have improved performance with tared maps so I have tried to sign TrekBuddyService2nd.SIS but I can't do that with following message:
Quote:
FAILURE: Only Symbian OS V9 applications are supported

So my qestion is: Do I need to sign it at all?

Hello,

same problem on my M600i. Cannot start the service from a folder. But I've got a workaround: I can start the service, if I put the icon on the main screen, where five shortcuts are possible. Then everything is fine. Problem is, that I do not want a service on the main screen Sad . Is it possible to start within Trekbuddy, as an option? Perhaps as "Start Service/Program before Trekbuddy". This should also solve the autoboot problem.

I know, but I have no idea why. Sad

I've just uploaded v0.5.2 with autostart-on-boot (works on S60 3rd and UIQ), so there's no need to start it manually anymore.

I have the same problem on my W960! + It does not autoboot!?

Is there a way to exit/kill the service?

Kruch, What about autostart-on-boot for S60 2nd? I've got a Nokia N70... Smile

Would you be so kind to implemment it in the TB Service S60 2nd next version?

Only if it would be possible, of course ... Wink

Thanks a lot, Kruch. Cheers.

Greetings from Nokia planet, 'earth-humans'. Razz Razz Razz

I hope there will be TB Service for S60 5th soon. I tried the last one for 3rd, but the backlight keeps turning off (nokia 5800).
