Probably you haven't got proper certificate installed. Search forum for thawte and find the way how to install it... Sometimes certificate presence depends on your provider...

Good luck! JHSh

Hi, can someone help me? I can't get tb installed on my Nokia N95. The installation starts and stops at about 80 %, no matter what version I try. Has someone an idea what to do?

Did you read the wiki?

http://wiki.trekbuddy.net/index.php/Installation

On Nokia S60 phones the installation is somewhat special...

If you are successfull please be so kind an add this installation process to the german TB wiki:

Yes, I read the wiki. But I found nowhere an hint what to do when the installation does not end regularly. I tried all proposed changes in jad-file as renaming attribute MIDlet-Permissions-Opt to MIDlet-Permissions, I tried the version from my SXG75 with the last 4 lines deleted, but noting helped. The ProgressBar stops at 80 %. Maybe I have to change the properties of the N95 somewhere, concerning security, but where? I think they don't like eachother.

Jürgen do you have a chance to try the procedure with another memorycard in your phone?
(just to rule out that your card might be full or corupted)

And did you re-download the .jar file, it might also have gotten corupted.

Viel Glück

I tried everything, different memorycard, different simcard. The only thing that helped was to do a firmware update. That worked.
Thanks for your help.

I also have some feature requests.

First: I use trekbuddy for tracking my mtb routes. Sometimes I want to redrive a certain route. Therefore it would be nice if trekbuddy could load gpx and kml files and display them in combination with or without a map.

Second. I also use trekbuddy for geocaching. Since I am a premium member I would like to use the paperless caching. If I try to open a gpx file on my SXG75, trekbuddy displays loading but nothing happens. A support for gpx would be great, or is there a other way to load gpx files already?

THX.
TB is a great app.

TB is able to read GPX already, but there have been some problems reported with GPX files from geocaching.com few days ago Sad
Kruch haven't reply for those posts yet, but I haven't seen him here from that time, probably on holiday...
Nevertheless I use LOC files from geocaching.com with no problem.

I use generated GPX files from geocaching.com almost everyday and I see no problem. It's fact that I use to open them always in EasyGPS before loading into TB, in EasyGPS I have to add names of caches to Waypoint field to TB be able to show the names on the screen (otherwise TB shows only #0001...). And some time ago I noticed problem with Czech chars in GPX file, so I had to transform the file to cut the Czech chars.

@CiBi7: I'm using a 0.9.79 BETA for some weeks now. It works rock solid in every display mode (many hours of logging without a problem) and has the track-on-map feature.

@kruch: The problem (see earlier posts in this thread) must have been introduced somewhere between the 0.9.79 betas and the 0.9.79 final.

@CiBi7: have you set the BT keepalive to something other than 0?

this is a from geocaching.com generated gpx file

It would be great if trekbuddy could load the coordinates and display the cache description (preferable with hint).

Here's semi-stable development build that should support grounspeak tags (I only forgot to add encoded_hints to wpt info form)
