It is possible to make your own maps out of Google Maps through the below steps:
1- Make a desired view-port of Google Maps by http://www.nayebi.com/mapneg/maputil.html and copy the coordinates form javascript alert message to a map file.
2- Convert the page to PNG file using Screengrab Firefox addon
3- Cut the map and make your atlas using TBMapper
