I think that add and "no map mode" is a great idea.
If I have a track or a route, I do not need the map. And without map you can have several levels of zoom.

I am also very interested for this feature !!

I have used an old Garmin etrex without maps for many years with this feature. Its enough to find back if you are lost.

What i am missing too is the possibilty to show a saved track as line (solid or dotted) but without all trackpoints. In the moment you have to choose the "Route along" or "Route back" feature for this.

In most cases i do not need the "Route"-funktion. I see the track (as line) and my position and walk along this.

A very nice program for my Samsung B2710. I like it !!

I found this thread looking for a way to have on TB a blank atlas with all zoom levels available (to justify necro-posting)
Am I wrong or this option isn't native? (yet?)
Is there a way to create it?
Using TB on mountain bike, on sunny days I would like to have maximum contrast beetween track line and background to see what's going on display...and this option could be of great help.

Just open Maps from TB's main menu and select no-map.xml Smile

Thanks for your answer!
I am aware of its existence, but no-map has no zoom levels available!
edit: well, I am wrong. It actually has levels, but zoom is insufficient anyway. I would like to reach the zoom of leves 16 maps obtained with MOBAC. Something like 1px=1m and 1px=0,5m.
It shouldn't be tricky, I suppose...if you would explain me how to edit no-map, I could try to do it myself!

Unfortunately editing no-map.xml won't help, I have to add mode zoom levels. I have to do some more calculations...

BTW, for what we need "foot" measurements in mapless mode ? Smile
Consumer gps receivers don't have such precision at all.

I run TB on my "new" nokia 5228 while I'm riding my mountain bike. The display of the phone is quite far from my eyes (it's in a little bag on the top tube, near the headset). With distance, . and sun reducing display's visibility, I thought it would have been a good idea to increase zoom, to make easier to see the track to follow.
Didn't thought It could be a hard thing to realize Razz

Oh, and I hope my english isn't too rusty, and that you can understand what I wrote Smile
