Hi

I have played around with TrekBuddy, and I have been thinking of using is as a datalogger for when I am gliding.

Can I clear a few things up though...
1. Does TrekBuddy keep a Log? (ie. can I look at where I have flown? - I would like to be able to visualise it on my computer back home)
2. Does TB log altitude?
3. Does TB have anything like glide ratio?
And Most Importatnly:
4. Is there a way of stopping my Sony Ericsson K750i bugging me continually to "Allow Application to Read (or Write) user Data?"

Thanks

1+2) yes - "tracklog" - either raw NMEA or GPX
3) I do not know what it is Smile
4) yes - http://wiki.trekbuddy.net/index.php/Installation#W800i.2FW880i.2FK750i

Hi

Thanks for that - I'm still having a problem with the Permissions, as I only get the Options "Always Ask" and "No", where no Is do not allow at all!

Glide Ratio = current horizontal speed / (divided by) current vertical speed

I have aslo being playing about with custom themes, and I often get an error that says "Name" expected (I can't read the advice as I have a small screen!)

Thanks!

Hi GuyJos,
when I try to open on Trackmaker a GPX-file made by TB I get an error-message (look at attached picture).
Am I doing something wrong?

Hi Kruch,
here are some of my gpx-files made by TB. None of the files can be opened on trackmaker.

All files are corrupted - see at the end of each file Sad
How did it happen? Did you stop tracking using Stop command?

I use a program called GPSMapEdit from http://www.geopainting.com/en/ for visualising tracks, it's quite useful for visualising gpx tracks and has various tools for map editing as well.

It's shareware but not too expensive if you feel it fits your needs Smile

Just downloaded gps trackmaker, and imported various TB gpx tracklogs no problem, even one the GPSmapedit had trouble with, and an osm map that i converted to gpx, which was too large for gpsmapedit to handle Smile
