Do you think someone would continue developing TB?

It was originally written for devices with java midlet support long time ago, it is history. Later I found microemu project which implements midlet API on top of Android and that allowed for Android builds, but midlet API makes it quite uncomfortable to enhance TB to use more Android features...

Good to have some news even it's not really happy …
Currently Trekuddy works fine, and we could well understand reasons above to stop development.

At least, is it possible to get some last small features planned in tracker since a long time like "bearing not updating (bug)" , "MOB confirmation" , "Support packed customization" , "flash map name after change" ...?

It should be a good last final update that could be used for long years ...

Hi Kruch,

nice to read from you. Your app is for me not only history - its still alive on my Nokia phone.
Its mainly stable, but is crashing sometimes because of needing much memory, I guess.
On android I use other tools, especially with vector map support, seeing that Mobac, I create my Maps for Trekbuddy is more and more locked out from crawling the tiles.
Thus would suggest vector map support for Trekbuddy on Nokia

Thanks at all vor that valuable app.

Happy Easter and best regards

Hi Kruch,

I don't know if someone would continue developing it but I really hope so. This app is so much more than history, it still have a community of active users and features requests so many years after the midlet era !

Also we don't know what the future is made of, and maybe some changes in permissions or other tweaks could be needed in the future to adapt TB to the new android versions. Also TB could certainly be a great tool for smart watches, or other lightweight embedded devices who knows ...

So if you have lost interest in maintaining it, please, please open source it 8)
It is a good move for the community and to keep it alive for posterity.

Thank you again for all the work you have done for this great tool !

Cheers,
Nibbler
