Hi All,

Mapping n00b here please don't flame me Very Happy

I am using my trusty SE 'not so dumb phone' after trying to 'disconnect' from too much screen time.

I have installed last TrekBuddy and found a World map which includes the EU which works OK but not very detailed. I would like to use just around 4 tiles from OSM for when I go out cycling and don't have a decent signal for Google Maps. In any case the receiver on the J10i2 is pretty sketchy and works best on sunny days only.

I have used the following resources

World Map
http://denker.bplaced.net/tb_eng.php

http://www.medicalnerds.com/how-to-make-a-uk-map-for-trekbuddy/

http://gis.19327.n8.nabble.com/How-to-create-very-large-jpeg-from-OSM-file-td5747496.html

https://www.opencyclemap.org/

http://bigmap.osmz.ru/

So now I have my map downloaded in .img format from

http://garmin.openstreetmap.nl/
http://www.scarletfire.co.uk/download-free-osm-maps-garmin-gps-device-any-country/

Is it possible to convert it to an image format that Map Calibrator can use?

Or is there an easier way that I am missing?

TIA!

Very Happy

Hi,
the easier way is to use MOBAC (Mobile Atlas Creator) and create directly a map in TrekBuddy tared format (.tar).
There's many topics about this application ...
