hi! last week i updated (and sim-unlocked) my sw w700 to R1DB001 (EUROPE_2), and now i cant install the jad-file! after a frew seconds the phone tells me "operation failed" !?!

if i only install the jar-file tb works but with no security-permissions (-> phone asks a hundred times if tb is allowed to ...)

any suggestions?

sincerely

ok, i figured out that the problems are the thawte root certificates (which are not installed on my phone with new firmware).

firmware is R1DB001 on a SE W700i

is there any way to get the certificates on the phone (by myself)?

sincerely

No go yourself (the specification says you're not supposed to).
Go back to the unlock service (if unofficial), or find a better one.
You can try at your operator or at phone service, but don't expect them to be cooperative regarding unofficial unlocking.

According to some specs, phone users are not allowed to install certificates for java. Only service staff are. Probably meant to make live of viruses less simple.
You can install certificates for SSL and such, but they are not useful for this purpose. You can find more details by searching this forum (which certificate in which place is required).
Few unlockers know much about this, well some do. Make your case by trying to install a trialware commercial SIGNED app that claims to support your phone, perhaps MobyExplorer.

kruch, would it be possible to sign tb not only with thawte certificates, but also with a sony ericsson certificate? or one of the "authority ..." certificates (from hutchinson)? (would that be too much work or would it be too expensive? or is it simply impossible for other reasons?)
i am dying not being able to use tb!

I wish! But it is not possible at all, I'm afraid. I do not believe I can send my midlet to SonyEricsson to have it signed by their certificate.

The only thing that might be worth looking at is Java Verified program. My understanding is that (Geotrust CA) UTI certificat should be present on most devices (can you check?)
