Let me know. This APK targets Android 3+ (but still runs on 2.x), where devices without menu button first appeared.

Same problem on my Nexus 7 (android 6.0.1). The 3 dots menu button in the right bottom corner is gone. Sad

That's what I was afraid of... Sad
Some workaround or trick has to be found.

I now also tested it on my S6 (android 5.0.2). I see no difference. The floating menu button is still there (was hoping it would be gone).

One app that is very good to reassign the functions of buttons is "All in one Gestures". Not sure if you have to be rooted (I always am). Perhaps it is worth a look?

Same for me: no difference to previous behavior.

I also searched stackoverflow and other sources for information how to enable menu through long pressing back button. But to no avail.

What I found is some answers to the question how to open the menu programmatically. See here for instance:
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/3133318/how-to-open-the-options-menu-programmatically
So if you add a respective button to the UI, it should be possible to bring up the menu. In this case a simple openOptionsMenu() statement should do the trick.

My Galaxy S6 just updated to Android 6.0.1. Now the floating menu button is gone... Long pressing the "back" button works as "menu" on the phone's home screen, but not in Trekbuddy. I had to install the app "All in one gestures" and reassign the button functions as I prefer them. Hope this does not negatively affect the battery time.

Maybe you can do without extra app?

Settings, personal, accessibility, dexterity and interaction, assistant menu, turn it on. In the program you want the menu, press the four squares and scroll down to the menu.

Thanks for the info. I tried it. Very cumbersome... For now, I will stay with the app, since it gives me the menu button function directly.

FWIW I had that issue with my Samsung S3. I then installed a new version of TB from Google Play and got the functionality you required in the OP. I am trying to resolve a new issue with the atlases, but the function you seek worked for me (on an S3). But I am running an older version of Android.

Hello!
Is there something new with 3 dots menu problems? I have mobile phone Samsung Galaxy XCover 3 G389F with Android 6.0.1 and have the same problem. Still no menu for NavigateTo, etc.

I used Trekbuddy on my old mobile phone Samsung Xcover 271 and it worked excellent and I liked it very much.

Can you help me please?

Hello Everybody,

got the same problem here upgraded from a Xcover 271 (GT-B2710) to the XCover 3 G389F. Everything works fine with the Xcover 271 (GT-B2710) but the XCover 3 G389F doesn't allow me to open the menu so I can navigate to way-points.
So far I tried the following things:
- Assistant menu -> not available on Xcover 3)
- Accessibility -> Dexterity and interaction -> Interaction control -> no menu
- Accessibility -> Switch access -> no menu

I thought this would be a perfect (big screeen + lte) upgrade but still I have to lurk around 2 Mobile phone Sad.
Does anybody have an update for this issue, highly appreciated if so!

I changed the phone with Nokia n8 on the Galaxy A3 2017 (Android 6.0.1) and there is no option.
Pressing the short or long button does not help :(
