Hello,

I've installed TB on a Blackview BV6000 (android 6).
When i want to create a wpt in the menu/Navigation/Add Wpt i get error "access denied" if TB datadir is installed on ext sd card ...
Also, it's not possible to record a track and save it on external sd card ... etc ...
No problem when internal storage is used ...

Can anyone confirm that it's a android 6 limitation, blocking TB access for writing on external sd card ?

Thanks

Thanks Ranger,

Yes, i've installed maps on external storage and datadir in internal storage and TB works nice !

But for me, i think it's annoying to click many times to select an other map in menu ... Sad
Currently, it's possible to select "Starting map".
It should be good to have also choice for command "maps" in menu to point to the maps folder needed !

I dont know if Kruch could implemente direct access to TB maps folder on external sd card, when command menu/maps is pressed ? Smile

As you probably remember, support for maps was very easy in ... old phones (means removable SD card as main app data place) Smile
With TB self-content discovered atlases headers life is much easier now. Means no changes in paths, just changing atlas content as needed.
In link to android developers info we see that even read data permission can be obligatory for apps in next system versions.
So if you have a lot of built-in memory in your device available, just move all TB data to it ... and forget. Searching for possible paths is neverending game Wink
Or maybe it is possible to choose external card as storage for built-in apps Smile

You can install TrekBuddy on android 6 like any other application ...
For particular details have a look at Ranger replied above.
