By tap on +/- position, visible or not.
You and me know where to tap but if my function is added it should be a good help for recent users or when using new device with different screen size ...
I would like to get just help control position when i need it.
Happy to see different points of view !

As I see at different cms-es, they are rather not touchscreen specific now, means not showing ie +/- controls available. But it works ...
Last app change gives what you need (without more changes in app itself if you use proper settings).
Most of first time app users just starts with defaults and sometimes are confused, as we can see in opinions.

Just something more,
In this test version, in compass screen, the scale is hidden by icons and it's not possible to see value when changing with +/- Confused
Reason why i persist to wish a voluntary long press to show quicly action icons on compass and CMS screen ! (as an educational function)

OK, look again on sample, where all elements can be visible
http://www.trekbuddy.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=7661&start=32
regardless of icon bar options used Smile
As sample:
For landscape mode probably vertical action icon bar is better choice to solve less place available on all screens (zooms can be similar as is).
In cms xml file, ie special declaration lines can be used to turn on/off visibility (and maybe some functions) of existing cms controls.
Can be ? Smile

Yes, can be ! I remenber well your wish and i thought it was good idea.
Unified interface is a good way for a best usual comprehension for app with different screen mode.
Essential is to keep full screen map !
Some people could think that CMS screen is a bit reduced, but screens phone are more and more bigger ... and there is always possibility to hide icons +/- in settings ! Wink
So yes, sounds good for me ! Smile
