1.2.5 test build http://www.trekbuddy.net/dev/2013-10-21 (android, symbian, standard)

I had to make several changes for WP build to work. Most affected areas were CMS (loading, switching), handling of changes in Settings (some GUI elements are recreated after Settings form is closed) and navigation. In Android version, bitmap (map tiles) loading was changed (scaling is done during loading, bitmap recycling commented out).

A quick test (while standing stil) shows everything working fine on (Samsung S3) Android. Will test later on more (also slower older) models.

Any changes to ETA code?

Hi, after short test on Symbian I found following:

When I would like to change the map and I go back in the directory tree till the drive letters (like E, F, ... ) appers and then I am pressing the "back arrow" the TB is "frozen" - no reaction on any touching ... I have to close the application in the task manager.

In the vesrion 1.2.4, when I am in the "drive letters selection" and then I am pressing the "back arrow" the TB goes to the "normal map" displaying.

I am continuing with the test. Bye and thank you for so great application !

Haven't found anything strange so far - only that it loads noticeably quicker on my Galaxy S Very Happy. Harder to say with as much certainty but 1.2.5 also seems generally more responsive navigating through menus etc than older versions. Excellent work Kruch Very Happy

Hello Kruch,

On my nokia 5800 I'm having frequent crash of the program.
I'm using a 50Mb map (not huge, I think).

It is quite strange, because on Saturday I used for geocaching with no troubles at all, but on Sunday it started closing every 5 minutes or so. I tested and without map it was the same.
I think the problem could come from the waypoints file. It has arround 470 wp. If I do not open the file, then the software is stable. But with previous versions, I used 500 wp without problem.

Also another question, which version do I need for the service? 0.9.0 or 0.9.1.

Thanks for your efforts and this great program.

Hi, today I made a trip with version 1.2.5 to find any cache ... I have to report, that the "red arrow", which is showing the moving direction is "jumping" to all directions ... even I have connection with 10 satelits. Tested with internal GPS and also external BT Nokia GPS.

After reinstal to version 1.2.4 all was OK - red arrow shows right direction.

On the trip home, in the car, I used version 1.2.5 and the red arrow still showing not the moving direction.

Have a nice day and bye Very Happy

Hello,

I have also noticed that.
In the map screen, the red arrow in the compass is not pointingto the moving direction.

Seems like some fears have been realized... Sad

@angel6700 when exactly does it crash? when you are navigating to single wpt, or route, or just when you open the file?

Hi,

crash occurs when I'm navigating to a waypoint, but not if I just open the file.
And what about the version of the service?

thanks.
