Trekbuddy 1.2.3
Device: Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini (GT-i8190)
OS: Android 4.1.2

When using "Navigation -> Add Custom Waypoint" no "OK" button appears when pressing the "Menu key" of the device. Just "Cancel" is offered. Thus, it is impossible to add custom waypoints on this device.
In contrast, "Navigation -> Waypoints -> XY.gpx -> Waypoint XYZ -> Edit" offers an "OK" button when pressing the "Menu key".

kind regards & congratualition for this wonderful app,
Johannes (Austria).

If you hit Back key, wpt is created. It works like OK key.
I was kind of told that it is more Android-way use of Back key...

Thanks for your immediate response. It really works with the Back key.

But the usage of "Back key" and "Menu key" is not consistent. For instance to save a custom waypoint, the "Menu key" is used to accept the entered filename. I suggest to use the same key for acknowledging data entered in any dialog.

Kind regards,
Johannes (Austria)

I guess there can be duplicit positive commands (Back hardware key and OK soft key for). No problem for me.
