Hello Kruhc,

I have two feature suggestions coming from the sailing domain for your consideration.
First one is related to the Man Overboard scenario. When this accident happens, it is needed to immediately record the spot. Maybe a shortcut with one button click recording a waypoint without any further input could serve this purpose.
The second one could come handy when anchoring. Here the scenario is that when the boat is on anchor the actual spot is recorded and an anchor alert is set: if boat goes out of the configurable distance/radius of the spot, it gives a sound alert to the user. (Maybe also standby mode is preferred so that anchor alert can work over all night.)

Let me know what do you think of these,
Regards,
Gabor

Agree - anchor alarm is would be really useful.
I think both features might be useful in some other scenarios - just have to give them non-marine names :).

Hi Guys,

I've seen the anchor alarm, and it seams to be a nice feature! as this whole software is!

I also completly agree on the need for a MOB alarm button, it could be also in a dedicated for sailing CMS.

Then here comes my 2 other needs, maybe they already exist but I don"t know how to use it:

1) in order to save the battery, I would like a mode where the GPS is turned off together with the screen, and on again when you wake the device up. While sailing we are moving slowly on a wide environment, and writing our position down evry hour is sometime sufficient.

2) sometime I need to move the map to see what is around, and then the map becomes static and doesn't display my current position. do you know a way to go back to my GPS position without stoping and restarting the track?

regards Wink

if you use some sort of touch screen mobile phones just tap once in middle of screen on press key 5 on regular mobiles. and it will centre on your position. unless u dont have satellite signal (little green dot in top right corner of your screen) then it wont do anything.

any suggestion about the start/stop tracking attached to the sleep button (stop the GPS when the screen is off)?

regards!
