Is there a way to disable autorotate for phones with accelerometer?
When walking and navigating I like to rotate my phone to the walking direction forward. But accelerometer "intelligently" rotates and makes a landscape mode
Is there a way to force a portrait mode always ?
Maybe editing a jad file ? |

I think this is system wide settings, e.g. in Nokia e52 / Symbian s60v3
it is in ( guessing english names )
Control panels
Settings
General
Sensor settings ( 4th item ) _________________ Nokia E52 (240*320) / Symbian S60 V3 / Last TB relevant to S60 |

Yes, of course you CAN disable sensors and thus disable autorotate.
But this is not the right answer. For some application (ebook reader, web browser and so on) you do need rotation. On some you don't.
For example many games, also photo/video edition sw have rotation disabled.
So I'm interested maybe this is also possible for trekbuddy. |

The question is if it is available to J2ME environment,
personally I do not remember if I noticed such a setting in any phone java app, but I do not say there is none. _________________ Nokia E52 (240*320) / Symbian S60 V3 / Last TB relevant to S60 |
