Having upgraded to 1.0.12 I thought I would test the navigation feature out. Wednesday evening it worked fine on a short walk with voice assistance working well. I noticed you had uploaded another version so updated to that straightaway. Anyway I thought I'd test out the navigation assitance for real on a short journey today but had a few problems. Every time I reached a waypoint an error popped up (see diagram below) at first I wondered if ConvWPT picked a direction for which there was no sound file or something similar but when this happened for every waypoint and for both RouteAlong and RouteBack I realised there was a problem somewhere.

I've re-tried Wednesday evenings short walk and the error now happens with that too.

Any ideas on what's happening here what ever I try I can't get it to work again...

P.S. I'm using Samsung Galaxy Europa with Android 2.2 if it's relevant

Thanks for any Help
Paul.

Just done a bit more testing reverting back to 1.0.11 and the navigation works faultlessly with no java errors. Upgrade to 1.0.12 again and the problem is back. So that narrows things down a bit perhaps. Ver. 11 works fine on my android so will revert to that for now but certainly happy to test fixes for. Ver.12 of it helps.

What about visualising a DGPS fix? Is this possible in the meantime?

Hi Very Happy

Welcome back Kruch Very Happy

With this new version I’m getting the same bugs as with previous releases.
I'm using a SE K800i with either a HGE-100 or Bluetooth receiver connected.

1) With the option “Location SMS” set to on whilst using the HGE-100, GPS logging stops after 12 minutes.
Also the GPS enabler goes offline and the “Stop” function no longer works so you have to quite TrekBuddy .
I don’t get this problem if I use my Bluetooth BlueNEXT GPG receiver.

2) Frequently receiving a "Failed to load profile: java.lang.NullPointerException" error whilst changing between CMS screens.
Repeatedly banging the OK button and wiggling the joystick often allow me to get back to the map screen.

I have 2 x K800i’s and 2 x HGE-100’s to play with and both exhibit the identical bugs.

Any ideas?

1. what icons in corners?

Just highlight the touch areas. I know there is a map of touch areas on the forum, but there is none inside the programe (at least none I know about) and sometimes I forgot which one is which. For example I still have no idea which area to touch in order to show waypoint description in map. It would be enough to use some transparent icons similar to easy zoom ones.

I would suggest that they are not shown all the time, but is shown (for some seconds) after a long-press in the top left corner (we have navigation in the menu now).
On second thoughts, it could even be shown for a few seconds if you touch the screen anywhere...

Well, just found a bunch of bug reports on Android market, mostly CMS-related Embarassed ... more Android fixes ahead Confused

Yes, updated version published on AM.

EDIT some CMS bugs on AM: sometimes NPE when opening list of profiles (key DOWN), NPE when switching profiles fast (key RIGHT).

EDIT and they are not Android-specific, so 1.0.13 is coming asap.

Not too much precise info Smile
I just checked it on X8 with no-hecl profiles, works like a charm, couldn't reproduce with my set.
Wpt amr sounds are sometimes cutted, maybe format problem.

OK ... Smile

If you have several profiles (I tested digiblue14 theme - 7 profiles, hecl) and you switch them fast using tap on the right screen side ('key 6'), you may get NullPointerException sometimes. I reproduced it on G1 and Vivaz (S60).
Also in CMS screen, sometimes I got NullPointerException when I tried to open list of profiles (screen tap equivalent to 'key 8' press). I reproduced it with G1.
