I understand your need. But you should know that TB is simple navigation app, not too much specialized for turn by turn navigation. I tried to show what you can do now, instead of using not present thinks.
A long time ago navivs element was simplified to only one pict to help element designers.
There was a proposal to have on map screen true turn arrows, but such feature is not implemented.
Instead of that we have voice directions available in TB, this way it is not necessary to look at map at all for turn.
Preparing route is simple task, just like load and save gpx file using ConvWPT. Why not to try it ?

See what you mean Bas, but I think it might work better with my red set of arrows I posted second.

So - from your great test, are you saying there is no way this will work?

I have not had chance to go out and try it yet as been stuck in with Flu.

Cheers.

The red one is blinking - I don't know why. Maybe the second set would be better but... take a look at the green arrow.

I don't know. It's only my supposition...
I wish you a speedy recovery.

Bas,
Thank you for the wel wishes and thanks also indeed for helping me with the trekbuddy problem I have.

Have tested me arrows today and they work fine and dont flash - but do indeed give false 'L' and 'R' readings at certain times and so my arrows are not useful as you predicted.

My latest thought is to make some 'L' and 'R' symbols which will be next to the north south east and west points on the crosshair which may help in the way I want.

Will work on that and update the thread soon.
Cheers
