Unfortunately the version won't run correctly on the Sony Ericsson K800i using an HGE-100 GPS receiver.

As with previous versions 0.9.99 & 0.9.85 recording of a tracklog will stop after 12 minutes (TrekBuddy beeps and top left spot turns orange).
After; the option to stop recording a tracklog won’t respond so a restart of TrekBuddy is required.

There appears to be an additional glitch in this version: Your current trail is not displayed on the screen for the first few minutes Sad

Version 0.9.97 was the last stable version to run on the K800i & HGE-100.
Use to this version if you’re having problems.

Tested on 2 x K800i’s and 2 x HGE-100 receivers.

I'm trying to get trekbuddy running on my "new" Palm TX.

With your current release 1.0.0 I can start trekbuddy, I can connect with my Bluetooth mouse BT747. I cat set options.

But if I try to load a *.tar map (working fine on my Sony K750i) my Palm TX hangs.

I have installed these prc:

fileconnect.prc
J9JavaVMMidp20_de.prc
J9JavaVMMidp20.prc
JavaVMCheck_deDE.prc

and of course

trekbuddy.prc

DataDir points onto directory stored on 2GB SD card:
dataDir: file:////trekbuddy/

Selection of maps is works, I can select my tar file. But afterwards the Palm TX is locked.

Any suggestions?

Thanks, Michael

EDIT: no, no change... could you send me the gpx file? And what's your Android version? thanks

FYI: I have tested this version on my SAMSUNG phone (see configuration below). Unlike 0.9.98 (worked OK on my phone) the bluetooth connection with GPS module always breaks down after 5 - 10 minutes of operation (first the indicator turns yellow and then after few seconds dissapears completely). I was nearly to revert to 0.9.98 but finally setting "Settings - Location - reliable input" to ON did help !! BTW what does this fairy Smile option do ?

Ok, the gpx file attached. TB1, i have TB1 to TB10.gpx all same error now on v.1 Sad

NOTE they are 500 waypoints per gpx file, and they all loaded fine in Trekbuddy 09.99

i have a htc desire version 2.2 froyo

just very odd, as all was fine in 09.99

i have tried the lowmem /io and the lazy gpx parsing but no difference

speedy response as always kruch, thank you

Unfortunately the Reliable input option doesn't solve the K800i & HGE-100 issue Sad

I answer myself... Version 0.9.78 is working, but map scrolling is really slow (due to Java emulation on top of palm OS - I assume).

And screen dimensions seem to be wrong. If virtual keyboard is visible, all trekbuddy buttons are hidden. If disabling the virtual keyboard the buttons become available, but the map is not extended into available LCD screen. Within compass mode if virtual keyboard is visible everything is fine (including trekbuddy's buttons). But if I disable the virtual keyboard, a small portion of the bottom of the circle is missing.

Maybe some future releases of trekbuddy might solve these Palm issues....

Regards, Michael
