Hi there, I have a loaner-phone N900 instead of my usual N97. Sees OK, but the Java or J2ME support missing is a bit of a drag. I managed to get Trekbuddy running after some hacking, and the location JSR loads too so I can get my location.

However, the UI (?) doesn't allow me to load my Atlas. I do get into the Datadir/Maps where the atlas tar-file is situated, but I can't click the tar-file. The UI in microemu sucks big time, since the screen in the emulator when not in resizable-mode is just a fraction of the phone's and hitting the right pixel is a real challenge sometimes. When I manage to click my .tar-file, the cursors jumps to the topmost item which is "../". If I doubleclick the .tar-file the cursor the symptoms are much alike.

Should I perhaps try another jar, instead of the symbian-one?

This is probably a problem with microemu, but I feel that this site probably has the most users trying this.

There was some hints around here if memory servers me correctly.

I think I installed the JSR-75 extensions from there;

https://garage.maemo.org/frs/?group_id=1559&release_id=3551

I installed icedtea6 on the phone.

http://my-maemo.com/software/applications.php?name=MicroEmulator&fldAuto=1429&faq=42

I got my N97 back, and returned the N900 so I can't help anymore with this.

The microemulator can be run on any computer with Java installed. The microemulator-package README-file gives some hints as to how to run Trekbuddy. In short one can start trekbuddy within microemu with the following command;

Code:

java -cp microemulator.jar:lib/microemu-jsr-75.jar \
   org.microemu.app.Main –impl org.microemu.cldc.file.FileSystem \
   -jar apps/trekbuddy-symbian.jar

I have trekbuddy-symbian.jad, trekbuddy-symbian.jar and trekbuddy-url.jad in the microemu apps/ subdirectory.
