My phone is Nokia 6300.
Yesterday I put the Jar file of Trekbuddy into my SD card and try access it. It's so great that I works!!

Only that it's so annoying that keep asking me to confirm application access from my memory card everytime.

Is there any solutions for it? I have only Thawte Consulting (Pty) certificate in my phone.

Thanks!!

Ok, now I get it. Embarassed Paging would be useful indeed.

I don't - what is wrong with paging?

@Pidou sorry, some calculations in CMS are rather unreliable. I have a colleague working on that.

@thomast TB may not ask whether you want to use a map as default if you have Settings->Misc->no questions checked.

@Zilina Maybe you need to use Settings->Location->keep alive with HGE? It is in milliseconds, so you could try eg. 60000 (= TB will "ping" HGE every minute)

@withoutlight copy both jar & jad file to your SDCard and reinstall it - jad file lists required permissions[/quote]

Thanks for the relpy Smile

I couldn't find the keep alive option in the Location menu?

I don't recall ever having any problems with TrekBuddy until this revision.

Many thanks

Sorry my fault, the option is not available with HGE. You say 0998 worked ok for you? I made a few minor changes in 0999 that may have affected bt communication.

Not a problem Smile

The HGE GPS reciever is attached to the K800i via a cable.

I'll go back to 0998 and see if the problem dissapears.

Many thanks Very Happy

Same problem in 0998 Sad

TrekBuddy will only log/track for 12 minutes and stops.

I have checked my HGE-100 GPS reciever and it is working correctly.

**** Update ****

TrekBuddy 0996 appears to have worked ok as this is the last version I used to greate a large tracklog.

Hello,

I have HP iPaq 214 Pocket PC (WM 6) running Franson GpsGate
which I use to share the GPS data with:
- multiple application on my Pocket PC
- via bluetooth with other devices.

Bluetooth sharing works fine with my laptop (OziExplorer),
but TrekBuddy on my mobile (Nokia E65) is not able to connect ...

[ I can see just for second blue point in the right top corner
and then again red ].

... but if I connect my Bluetooth GPS directly to the phone then TredBuddy works fine.

Is there any chance to get some logs from the TrekBuddy to know
what's wrong?

... in Info-->Technical there is following Java exception:
javax.microedition.io.connector.btgoep.client.

Thanks Jiri

After a little testing....

TrekBuddy version 0.9.97 works perfectly.

Versions 0.9.98 and 0.9.99 both suffer from the same problem and stop recording a tracklog after about 12 minutes.

Thanks

I've found workaround (well, worked for me): in TB, select Stream location provider and use Connection URL as
Code:
btspp://<PPC bluetooth UID>:<GPSGATE BT SERVER SCN>

In my case it was
Code:
btspp://0017e4ce3050:25

Hm, solving related problem, I have realized,
there are no such options in my instance of TB 0.9.99 in Settings/location like "negative alt fix" and "Alt correction" to check out.

There is only Alt correction numeric value field...

Hi All.
I've installed that application using JavaFX 1.2 and it is working perfectly, but I can't set permission: "Ask once per session" for Read User Data Access and Write User Data Access. Only possibilities are "Do not allow" or "Ask every time".
Is it any other way to deal with that problem?
Thanks for help.
