Very likely you can. You could try to run it using MIDlet Manager first, but it may lack FileConnection API support (you won't see Load Map/Load Atlas commands then); in such case you could use IBM J9 with pdap-fc addon; have a look at Windows Mobile 5 topic...

EDIT: Ah, it's smartphone. Is there a MIDletManager installed? Anyway, IBM J9 is also available for WM5 smartphones....
