| I don't think the Pixon has internal GPS. It does have Google maps preloaded with the My Location function but I don't think this works via gps but simply uses the cell broadcast masts to roughly triangulate the phone's position. I could be wrong though |

| Sorry I don't know. I think Samsung allow whatever the internal GPS is in the phone for phototagging only but updated firmware may increase the functionalility. Give it a go and let me know how it goes. However Samsungs generally won't allow access to applications copied to the phone or memory card directly from a PC and you will need to download applications using the phones internet connection, but you probably already know this. |

Hi everybody,
I tried TrekBuddy version 0.9.91 on my Pixon and it works fine.
Some problems with atlasses in zoom level from 12 to 15 - maybe not enought memory but anything else is very nice a works just fine. |

... a newcomers question about TrekBuddy
Where in TrekBuddy I should see my GPS? Menu -> Settings -> Location -> Provider? I see only Stream and Simulator as options. If I use Stream and start logging the device wants to use data connection to receive data...
I have Samsung Omnia Lite with internal GPS (GPS COM9, 9600 bps, seen as COM7 to applications).
GoogleMaps, GPSInfo and GPS2Blue all see my internal GPS well.
Thanks,

Problem solved. Now internal GPS is seen and working.
Solution was to change JBED to version Jbed 20090416.5.1 as described here http://www.trekbuddy.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3907 _________________ Samsung Omnia Lite |
