Hello!

This is a modified version of MaleSmurf's - CMS Gris for 320x240 resolution (BB Curve, newer Nokia phones, etc)
Tested on my Curve 8310.

I hope, you can use it. Any comments welcome.

Great job with the conversion of the 240x320 theme to 320x240.

I've installed the suite of CMS files on my BB8830, and only get a dark blue screen with a few numbers (UTM coordinate easting/northing and course/heading in degrees) and a series of small green satellite signal strength indicators bars in the top right corner of the screen when I activate this theme.

I've had several other CMS' installed on my phone previously that all worked without any problems. Am I correct in my assumption that this CMS should work on a BB8830?

I am able to open the 6 individual screen images when using the file explorer on the phone, but nothing much seems to happen when I try to view through TrekBuddy ver. 0.89, 0.87, 0.85,..

My BB OS version is 4.5.0.160

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

this is because the file names are not correct
Code:
screen mode="full" w="320" h="240" background="r1.png">
        <area x="206" y="28" w="10" h="10"
but the file in the zip is named r1_a.png the corrected zip is below . good work

Hi all,
I tried that CMS which is really very nice, but I got only 2D position and no signal strength for the satellite. I'm using a BB 8310 curve. What could be the problem?

On my BB I cannot seem to get the satellite bars in the top right corner to show either.

Anyone have a solution?

Thanks

Most BB devices simply do not provide this information in a way that it is accessable for TB (but for generic BB applications), see http://www.trekbuddy.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2276

I am a total newbie here and I have tried searching for the answer, but can I use this theme and have English measurements? Ie. miles instead of km?

Are you sure? The values should now be imperial, but units shown have to be changed inside the XML.

ah, maybe that's it. I am sitting still trying to work out my elevation. I'll need to move around a bit and get a speed measurement.

The KM display is part of the png image - I see. Makes sense.

Thanks

Yes, units are now imperial and I have roughly edited the png file for one of the screens to display mph and feet and so on.

Thank you.

Very happy with the theme within the constraints of the BlackBerry 8310 (ie some data not available from GPS) but night mode not working. Pressing 0 in compass mode changes to dark background but pressing 0 in this CMS Theme does not appear to do anything.

I have it on two different 8310s - same result.

Also clock is from internal BB clock not from GPS - is this correct?
