hi folks
this tool may be usefull for those who work with waypoints, routes etc.
it also works with the gpx files from TB. it has also maps, one can load maps etc. so all preparation may be done in that tool and then uploaded to TB on the mobile.

ok, i just did some additional work with the tool...
unfortunatelly, one needs google earth pro if one wants to connect gps with google earth. if you have this tool, you can connect the gps via the tool to google earth.
then it is also possible to show all waypoints and also the tracklog via the tool on google earth.
the only problem or question i figured out is, that if i take a map from mapexplorer (2000x2000px) and calibrate the jpg together with the calibration file .map in trackmaker, i am about 51km offtrack (sybolized as track002). so something is wrong. maybe the coordinates out of mapexplorer? because i also recognized a shift within TB...
does anyone know something about that? any ideas?

To prepare routes for car navigation you can use GMaps directions and then export them to GPX using the steps described here
http://www.elsewhere.org/journal/gmaptogpx or here

When translating the xml in gpsbabel, first replace the letters with accents (at least it is valid for Czech and Slovak)

can you explain in more detail how to use a gpx in trekbuddy please
I'm trying to follow an exact route for a bike race and this would be perfect.
Thanks in advance
