i have a SE c702, wit 0.9.83
I don't find au to set the coordinate in "swiss grid" format. In menu Cordinates i have only <Map Lat/Lon> <Map Grid> UTM <Geocaching Lat/Lon>.
In the WishList the wrote that the swiss grid is enable since 0.9.62.
Somebody can tell me ou i find this?

Those settings are effective only when map calibration does not provide projection and datum info, so if you are using maps calibrated with Ozi, you should be fine without changing anything.
You should use Map Grid option together with properly calibrated map to see Swiss grid coordinates. |

@kruch
There are at least two use cases where a normal user cannot change datum and projection:
1) A map created with TBAC has always a WG84 map datum / projection. There is no way to use Swissgrid coordinates (CH1903) in TrekBuddy.
2) With CarteSurTable/eMapZone, a bitmap map can be calibrated very conveniently by superposing a calibration grid on the printed grid on the map. Unfortunately, the datum/projection information gets lost during export to OziExplorer format and standard WGS84 is used instead.
As far as I know in older versions of TrekBuddy the choosen map grid was shown regardless of the the map projection used.
As a background information, CH1903 is widespread in Switzerland and Liechtenstein and the standard coordinates for police and rescue services.
Do you see a chance to implement an option like "override map projection in calibration file"? I think the grid coordinates can be converted from UTM.
Thanks in advance

OK, I get it. (I rarely use maps other then local country-specific calibrated with OziE)
BTW, what is the projection for maps made from Google by TBAC? |

Hi Kruch,
I just checked the map files generated by TBAC:
map datum WG84
MapProjection Mercator
This is true for Google Maps, OSM, Multimap, Google Terrain and maybe all others map sources available in TBAC.
Hope it helps.
