Hello!

Firstly: Great thank for your work Kruch!

Secondly: My problem :)

Currently I use TB 0.9.81 on SXG75 with Pentagram P3101 bluetooth gps device. As the topic says my problem is connected with displaying changes of the course either on the compass or map. The problem exists only when the speeds are low (eg. walking) and is really annoying when I use TB during geocache trips (when I'm near the cache I don't know in which direction am I to go). It looks like TB has problem with course updates when speeds are low. I have to go faster for eg. 50m to see correct compass indication.
I think that problem is caused by poor handling of the bluetooth device (when I use SXG internal GPS receiver the problem doesn't exist. I tested BT receiver on NokiaN93 with TomTom also and the course updates where seen faster).

Is there anything that can be done to improve BT handling?

One more time great thanks!

Grzegorz, PL

My guess is that such behaviour is a feature of some revisions MTK chipset, and that TomTom calculates course itself...

Hi Grzegorz,
Could you record and attach zip-ed nmea log from geocaching ?
If you can record a slow walk on small rectangle (20-50m), it can give answer how module course works in your set.

Hm... I've read somewhere about it. Those were reviews of early versions of MTK chipsets and Pentagram I've bought is rather new, so I thought this problem wouldn't be concernd with it. It look like I was wrong :(

Ok, I'll do it. Unfortunately it can be done during next week the earliest.

Maybe I'll test it with AutoMapa on my laptop also...

Thanks for your concern!

Grzegorz
