Do you want an NMEA log?

Yes.

@georg wpt editing: in 0982a I'm enforcing decimal precision so that precision is not lost when editing form opens, and - one has to be careful and keep in mind what current coordinates settings are (Basic->Coordinates) in order to enter corresponding figures.

@all Symbian tar-ed maps on Symbian are accessed through native S60 app via local socket connection, hence a corresponding permission has to be granted

I installed version 0.9.82a to Nokia E51 and i cannot open any maps ( tar and normal) , trekbuddy shows " _EVENT FAILURE_ (code6; result "null"; throwable java.lang.IllegalStateException : 0

When i returned version 0.9.81 back to E51, all maps work with no problems.

He is the nmea log.

Jussi obsereved the same clock behaviour in CMS mode on a Nokia 6220 classic as i did on my N82:

Jussi wrote:
...I am also seeing the clock updated irregularly. While the running time advanced to 03:03 the time of day clock only advanced from ~15:18:40 to 15:20:13 (UTM +3). It looked like the running time leaped forward, but the time of day only hanged for awhile.

The messed up acceleration seems to be a result of the irregular clock updating. When the clock isn't updating, acc shows 0. But every time the clock updates, acc shows an astronomic value.

I introduced revisions (configurable feature) to allow the users preserve original files because TB does not need all the info from GPX and ignores it in order to save memory.

I think I can preserve wpts timestamps and overall gpx meta info (author etc), although they are of no use for navigation... what do others think?

Could you add distance measurement in the next version?

I am also with Nokia E51. With version 0.9.8.2 I can not open tar atlases. It gives me the following error:
[6] null: java.io.IOException: SymbianOS error = -34: General:System error

and with another tar atlas:
[6] null: java.io.IOException: File file:///E:/....map.tar not found

All atlases worked with version 0.9.8.1

EDIT:

I confirm that with version 0.9.8.2 beta7 tar atlases can be opened.
Is there a way that full version is working with tar? I gave all permitions in Application Manager. I also installed Trekbuddy ServiseS60, but when I start it, nothing appears on screen.

@Kruch
I think that revision setting is OK solution.
TB wpt edit function is not gpx universal editor and can save used tags only to new file. Or add ones, like altitude tag, if it is not present in gpx file, but TB allows to edit such value.
More complicated case is geocaching file, where a lot of info is present. But I think the same way, TB can save used info only, it means it can remove not used logs from file.
After editing gpx file is just TB standarized Smile

I have tried this path, normal map opens correct, but tar map doesn´t work, trekbuddy shows this message ""[6] null:java.lang.SecurityException:Permision = javax.microedition.io.connector.socket " same like in version 0.9.82.

I don´t know, which permision is not granted, i tried everything. Sad

Just tested last TB on E60...

* [6] null: java.io.IOException: SymbianOS error = -34: General:System error
- appears when TrekBuddyService ("tbsvc") is not running; try this: uninstall tbsvc (keep the signed sis!), delete e:/others/tbsvc.log, install tbsvc, start it (nothing is displayed but tbsvc.log file should be created in e:/others) - now restart TB and try tar-ed map
- if you still get this errors, send me the tbsvc.log file

* [6] null:java.lang.SecurityException:Permision = javax.microedition.io.connector.socket
- check Network Access permission
- consult http://wiki.trekbuddy.net/index.php/Installation#Nokia_N95_.28also_6290.29

When i checked NetworkAccess and granted this to "Always Allowed", trekbuddy shows this error: [6] null: java.io.IOException: SymbianOS error = -34: General:System error.

After that I reinstalled tbsvc and now tar map works perfect, atlas too.

Perfect work Kruch Wink
