1. Why not make a upload place for others to share the maps they converted? I have a *legal* map of switzerland which i calibrated and could share with others... Maybe just a new forum entry?
2. Why not "Open Source" TrekBuddy? I would be interessted in enhancing stuff...
3. Really great and simple app! Thanks!

Upload place is a good idea. I'll discuss it with this forum's hosting owner...
I haven't thought about making the application open source, but I'm not saying no
Thanks! |

I made a little java app for downloading google maps. It also creates the right calibration file. At least it works really great here in europe. I have to refine it a little bit next weekend and then could give it to you for distribution. I have no idea if this is legal, because i don't use the Google API but use URL-Coding. You can decide if i should upload or not... |

Cool
Although I'm unsure if it is legal or not, I guess I'm not the only one looking for such application |

Ahoj kruch
I've just downloaded v 0.8.9, and it works well on a Nokia 6680. Excellent!

TrekBuddy looks very promising, I'd like to help too (I've been a professional Java developer for eight years, and I'm sure there's something useful I can contribute). Have you thought any more about making it open source?

| I can sponsor a subversion / CVS server if kruch decides to opensource it. |

CVS is dead, and it should be left to rest in peace. svn, minimum! (See also mercurial, bazaar).
One step at a time though: if kruch wants to free his code, that would be great; if he doesn't, that's... OK too It's up to him where it lives, and who can change it.
